September 2018 Desktop Calendar - Free Download
I thought I would try something a little different for September's desktop calendar—why not merge the monthly desktop calendar with a little watercolor tutorial? Of course, it was a match made in work-a-holic-artist-heaven and I loved creating this video for you. I took the opportunity to explore a new technique that merged my two loves—loose, organic watercolors and detailed line contours. I personally love it and plan to repeat this process again in the near future (how about this afternoon?).

As an added bonus, I decided to design two different versions of this calendar—one with the light blue-grey background that you can see above, and a second with a dark navy background. Let me know which one is your favorite! I usually prefer a lighter background for my desktop because... I just love white—but I know that not everyone shares my addiction to negative space on their desktops!

I can't shake the excitement of how easy it is to have beautiful artwork on various elements of your life—whether in your home or on your tech or clothing. It used to be so hard to find exactly what you are looking for, but with such a large marketplace to search from—with so many talented artists, there really is no reason why you shouldn't be able to find your perfect piece somewhere on Society6!
